about

This is the tragic story of the needless loss of life of men from Yorkshire during the First World War beautifully written by Lesley Hale and Ken Thompson. Two of Jenny and James’ great, great uncles were killed during the Great War, one on the first day of the Somme and the other at Ypres. We have letters sent from the trenches which add to the poignancy of the song for our family.
